Moving doesn’t have to be chaos. Work through this checklist week by week and you’ll stay two steps ahead, calm, organised and ready when the truck arrives.

Planning & organising
- Declutter room by room, don’t pay to move what you no longer need.
- Book your removalist early to lock in your preferred date.
- Start running down freezer and pantry stock.
- Notify schools, utilities and service providers of your move date.
- Order packing materials, or ask us about a full professional pack.
Packing & labelling
- Label every box by room and priority. Mark an “Open First” box for each room.
- Confirm parking, lift or driveway access at both addresses.
- Arrange cleaning for your old place, we’re happy to recommend someone.
- Book storage with us if there’s a gap between settlement dates.
- Back up your devices and pack important documents together.
Final preparations
- Defrost the fridge and empty any gas cylinders.
- Pack a first-night box: kettle, mugs, chargers, toiletries and bedding.
- Confirm your move time and crew details with our team.
- Let your neighbours know a truck will be arriving.

- Keep pets settled and clear of the work areas.
- Walk the home with our crew leader before we start.
- Do a final check of cupboards, sheds and the garage.
- Confirm utilities are off and lock up behind you.

Settling in
- Unpack room by room, or let our team do it for you.
- Check everything arrived safely; tell us straight away if anything’s amiss.
- Update your address with the bank, doctor and vehicle registration.
- Take a moment, you’ve earned it.
